Chris
began life as we all do; very small. As he became bigger he watched Paul
McCartney on the telly and would say to himself "I want to be just
like him!" Well, he hasn't grown up to be cute, rich and English
(yet) but he does play bass guitar and sing the bulk of the lead vocals
for that swingin' group, The BogaTones. He keeps everything in the groove
with his solid playing and fundamental sense of the role of the bass guitar
as the mortar that holds the foundation of the drums in place, supporting
the rest of the band.
He gets much greater recognition as the group’s primary songwriter
and most visible front man. His style in both capacities has been influenced
by groups as diverse as The Beatles, The Eagles, Alabama and The Bay City
Rollers. Throw in a dash of George Strait (Minus the hat) add a pinch
of Don Henley (Minus the California) and you get a small composite of
his musical roots. When not seen with a bass he may be found playing with
one of his computers. Chris is cool and does not like to wear ties. By
the way, just kidding about the Bay City Rollers.
